Hotel Manager

Produce a ‘start up’ plan for the hotel in the time you have before the first guests arrive. You have 3 days with your HODs and a further 6 days with the hotel team. The plan should test your team's understanding of the training as well as prepare the hotel for the first arrivals.

Assistant Hotel Manager

Resort Child Care Manager

Staff appraisal - present the elements you feel should be included when reviewing one of your child care staff for the first time.

Chalet Manager or Catering Supervisor

Produce a Resort Operational Rota, to include daily and weekly tasks, including, ordering deliveries, stock control, hygiene controls, and any other task involved in running the resort for you and the chalet hosts. Be prepared to present and talk about your rota at the interview.

Food and Beverage Manager

Produce a Hotel Operational Rota, to include daily and weekly tasks, including, ordering deliveries, stock control, hygiene controls, and any other task involved in running the resort for you and the chalet hosts. Be prepared to present and talk about your rota at the interview.

Restaurant Manager

Prepare a daily checklist to include breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner service.

Chef, Assistant Chef or Chalet Chef

All Hotel Chefs and Chalet Chefs are to present a freshly prepared, edible example of your culinary skills. The decision on what you produce is yours, but we want to see a creative example of your work. This could be a practical presentation or involve an item prepared earlier.

Chalet Host

Cook and bring to the interview one of the following. Click for the recipes to use:

     Vanilla Cheesecake with Sesame Praline
     3 Onion Tart
     Apple Clafoutis
     Mini Leek & Caramelised Apple Puffs

General Assistant or Driver/Assistant Lapland

This job role encompasses a wide range of activities so try and think laterally and present something that has some relevance:

* An edible treat you have prepared yourself

* Place setting (knife/fork/spoon, plates, glasses etc)

* Table decoration – do not use fresh flowers as unavailable in the Alps

* Put together a sample ‘cleaning bucket’ with products and a list of equipment items you would use to clean a chalet/ hotel.

Chalet Housekeeper or Hotel Housekeeper

Prepare a daily Housekeeping checklist to include the dinning area/bedrooms and communal areas of the chalet/Hotel.

Bar Manager/Bar Supervisor

Prepare a cocktail list to include 5 cocktails, 5 shooters and 5 Mocktails as well as a weekly promotional schedule for your bar.

Kitchen or Night Porter

Detail a fire evacuation procedure within a Hotel or a schedule of expected night time duties, or an edible treat you have prepared yourself.

Head Nanny/Head Snow Ranger

A six day activity plan for the relevant age group either 4mths – 36mths or 3yrs plus based on the theme “Ocean”. The plan should include at least one outdoor activity each day.

Nanny or Nursery Nurse or Nursery Assistant

A Creative item or game you would complete with children aged in one of the following groups: 0-3yrs, 3-6yrs, or 7yrs plus.

Play Leader (Snow Ranger, Alpies Ranger)

A Creative item or game you would complete with children aged in one of the following groups: 0-3yrs, 3-6yrs, or 7yrs plus.

Lapland Ranger

A Christmas themed presentation, activity or game to demonstrate your suitability for a job focusing on Santa Claus and Christmas.

Elf

Prepare and deliver a short Christmas themed performance including the use of props.

Maintenance / Driver

A role covering a variety of tasks - try and think laterally, and present something that has some relevance:

* Checklist for proper care and maintenance of resort vehicles

* Tool box – contents and usage

* Demonstrate some handiwork skills

Hotel Receptionist
Write a letter to guests informing them of a change in the hotel's services.
Resort Administrator - Lapland
Write a letter to guests informing them of a change to the day's events.
